In 2014 Pet World launched a series of blogs. The business was thriving so after 27 successful years the owners were making a shift into semi-retirement from the rehoming center itself into online sales, more nature camps, and eco tourism. However, after the 2015 fire destroyed everything, all efforts had to be spent rebuilding the Pet World Experience back from literally nothing. It's been a journey to say the least.
We reopened in January, 2016, with eight returning, trained employees, and have only recently brought our staff back up to around 30-35 trained employees, where it needs to be to run the place. Finally, in 2020, we are pretty much back to where we were in 2015 and picking up where we left off. We will post from time to time and hope we can return to blogging regularly someday soon.
